SMALL LOANS OF HOPE UPLIFTING LIVES
Many struggling families keep their children at home to help earn a living. However, creating additional income for a family means parents can afford to send their children to school.
Through our work in Sri Lanka we empower struggling families by providing small loans and other financial services to start or develop a business. This in turn improves their lives and the lives of others by generating employment within the community.
While families living in the rural areas of Sri Lanka have a basic livelihood, they have little or no means of improving them. For those who lack assets and are denied access to traditional credit providers, our work serves as an answered prayer.
We were founded as the microfinance arm of World Vision Lanka in 2004. We provide much needed capital to the business minded poor in World Vision’s area development programmes. Our combined efforts improve the lives of people living in poverty; the lives of their children and the communities where they live.
